Each year the PTSO awards scholarships to deserving seniors who apply. Scholarships are open to students from all academies as long as they/their family member is a member of the PTSO. Winners are selected anonymously by PTSO volunteers who are not parents to a senior.
In 2023, we had a record number of applicants and were able to increase the amount and number of scholarship awards, with your PTSO contributions and additional help from some individuals and companies who sponsored named scholarships through our Invest in Excellence Program.
We encourage everyone to participate in Invest In Excellence and all businesses and families to consider sponsoring a scholarship in the name of a business or family member for our 2024 senior awards.
Here are the scholarships we awarded last May, 2023:
- Sarah Maupin – Medical Sciences – $1000 for the top prize, in the name of Father Sam’s Bakery
- Logan Fite – Pre engineering – $500 in the name of the Bass Family
- Lily Hudson – Pre engineering – $500 PTSO scholarship
- Lauren Johnson – MPRA – $500 PTSO scholarship
- Tara Noblet – Dance -$500 PTSO scholarship
- Brandon Tiseo – Computer Engineering-$500 in memory of Rudolph Anello Jr , sponsored by his daughter Angela Helms and family.
